Why am I not receiving messages?

As many of you know Verizon phones have had complications receiving downloads. We believe the issue is caused due to your phone being outside a Verizon EVDO network.

Here is how to check if you are TRUELY in a Verizon network:

  1. Go to your phones settings
  2. Choose Network settings
  3. Then choose System Select
  4. Select "HOME ONLY"

*Options may vary per phone.

If your phone loses service this means you are on another carriers tower and cannot receive downloads. If your phone REGAINS service under "Home Only" resend your download and it should come thru.

Remember to switch back to the original setting later or you may not have coverage outside the Verizon home network.

Another solution:

Update your phones PRL. Dial *228,9,9 and your phone will update Preferred Roaming List. (List of towers to use).

If the above fail try this:

Recently Verizon has implemented new picture messaging rules. These new rules have cause bugs with downloading items to your phone. While this isn't something DDNMobile can fix, we have discovered a few things you can do to possibly fix the issue.

Remember:
Verizon does not want you to download from DDNMobile or any other third party site. For this reason, when talking to any representative about your issues please tell the rep that you are "Trying to send yourself picture messages from your email using your YOURNUMBER@vzwpix.com account". If you do tell them you are downloading they will simply say you cannot use our site.

The first fix is to reset your "Feature Codes" and "VZWPIX" account. This is fairly simple to do. Call Verizon customer service. Once you get a rep, tell them you need your Feature Codes and VZWPIX account reset. They will probably ask why it needs reset. Tell them: "I am trying to send myself pictures from my email and my phone never receives them".

After the rep has reset all your information it will take about 2 hours for the system to reflect the updates.

This should fix the problem with receiving the messages.

The second fix is to resend the download. Remember, DDNMobile does not limit you to how many downloads you can send with your account. We recommend you send the download again if you do not receive the message within 10 - 15 minutes.
